SUMMARY:Bay Village Historical Society presents “Silhouettes of Style”
DESCRIPTION:“Silhouettes of Style\,” a fashion show of clothing styles from the 1930s\, 1940s and 1950s and a fall luncheon\, will take place at Avon Oaks Country Club on Sunday\, Sept. 22 at 11:30 a.m. Proceeds will benefit the Bay Village Historical Society. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see this collection\,” historical society member Dr. Marie Albano noted. “The clothing is from personal collections and not from the museum. Albano said the show will feature Depression era fashion\, clothing worn over the war years and outfits that reflect Hollywood glamour during its heyday. There will be trivia reflective of the time\, she said. Guests are welcome to take photos of the displays and there will be a photo opportunity with the models in their outfits at the conclusion of the show. The event includes a silent auction\, mystery bags and raffle items. Tickets are $50. A cash bar will be available. Co-chairs are Pamela Ebert and Monica Thomas. Deadline for reservations is Sept. 5. Send your reservation with a check made payable to the Bay Village Historical Society to Pamela Ebert\, 153 Kensington Cr.\, Bay Village\, OH 44140.
